Key Tasks - Roles & Responsibilities 
• Full vehicle, exterior & interior paint
• Surfacing
• Polishing
• Primer
• Hand finishing
• Paint mixing
• Carrying out SMART repairs (small to medium area repair technology)
• Planning/scheduling work
• Reporting on progress
• Mentoring & training
• Delegating work
• Provide timing estimates
• Attending internal & external meetings as required i.e. customers & suppliers
• Interpret customer requirements, whilst understanding/considering the commercial expectations
• A key point of contact for paint related queries
• Assist in the development of the paint department & facility
• Point of contract in the Paint Group Leaders absence

Candidate Technical & Educational Requirements
• Experience of leading on design properties such as : Show cars, Aerobucks, interior clinic models, CDRM’s, vision models
• Extensive paint spraying experience gained within a prototype vehicle environment
• A thorough understanding of paint techniques
• Extensive experience of SMART repairs
• Experience of working within an OEM or Tier 1 supplier within the automotive industry 
• Hard modelling/model making experience (Desirable)
• Blocking up experience (Desirable)

• Provide team members with task timing & monitor their progress
• Provide constructive feedback to team members & Management
• Work with the Paint Group Leader to develop & mentor less experienced team members
• Provide work progress reports, identify & resolve potential problems
• Commercial awareness

• A keen interest in gaining experience & exploring new paint techniques

• Flexibility to meet customer & business needs
• Good communication skills & ability to liaise with customers
