The Engineering Coordinator will play a key role in creating, maintaining and controlling changes to the Bill of Material, ECR’s and Data Management ensuring that all changes conform to scope, time, cost and quality objectives.

Key Tasks - Roles & Responsibilities 

• Reporting to the CAD Manager/Lead Engineer within the Engineering team
• Manage full and concise BOMs along with associated processes across multiple projects creating workflows, establishing priorities, best practice and KPI
• Extracting and examination of BOM information to support business responsibilities
• Control and update of BOM content and attributes within PLM if necessary
• Initiating BOMs within a spread sheet format, ensuring part number and part description consistency for pre-loading with the established MRP system
• Coordinate all part number change activity throughout build phases
• Assuring the necessary BOM Part related Change approval has been fully addressed before providing final BOM Part authorization
• Manage the delivery of a robust ECR Process supporting the Engineering/Sales team
• Support CAD data management internally and with external customers/suppliers
• Work in adherence to procedures to achieve best in class service and maintain quality
• Develop and maintain outstanding internal and external customer satisfaction
• Issuing CAD data in various formats to suppliers and internal/external customers
• Liaise/attend meetings with all departments, customers and suppliers as required
• Ad-hoc duties as required


Candidate Technical & Educational Requirements
 

• HNC or Degree in a relevant engineering subject
• Microsoft i.e. Excel, Outlook & Word 

• Microsoft project experience (Desirable)

Candidate Competencies

• BOM management experience
• Experience of Engineering Change management
• Experience with PLM structures and Change implementation
• Ability to work to instruction and integrate into a successful engineering team
• Good written & verbal communication skills
• Commercial awareness
• Good Attention to detail

• Experience working within an automotive engineering environment  (Desirable)
• Factory Master MRP experience (Desirable)
• Catia V5 (Desirable)
